New construction in Louisville has seen quite a few changes in the past few years as the entire Louisville real estate market has suffered and slowed. In general terms, there simply aren't as many buyers as there used to be, and this is true for new homes as well as existing homes.
However, even as the market has slowed, that is not to say that new construction has stopped in Louisville and that there aren't any new homes being sold anymore. That's not the case. In 2009, between 800 and 900 new homes sold in the Louisville real estate market, which is about 70 homes a month, or more than 2 every single day!

Seeing as how I work with builders across the city on a regular basis, it is not uncommon for me to visit a job site, during, or even after, construction. As I have mentioned, probably too many times already, I drive around Louisville too much, and find myself in all sorts of different neighborhoods. In a few of the more picturesque ones, I like to take video, to help clients who are contemplating a move better visualize the areas they are thinking about moving to.
