Market Reports

If the Louisville real estate market is up, or if it’s down, I unfailingly get the same question from people I meet on a daily basis:  “Greg, how’s the market?”  I don’t think most people are asking because they are concerned with the state of my business, but rather, it is simply a topic that home owners, home sellers and home buyers alike are intrigued by.

Everybody wants to know how long homes are staying on the market, on average, whether looking at the city as a whole, or in smaller segments, such as the zip code they live in themselves.  Or how about prices?  Most people are concerned with how homes for sale are priced and how many properties are available right now in the Louisville real estate market.

To help answer these questions, I am constantly putting together charts and graphs like the one above, which just happens to show the median asking price of Louisville homes for sale.  But I also look at smaller parts of town, such as The Highlands, St. Matthews, Crescent Hill, Prospect, Anchorage, etc…  If I haven’t already prepared a chart showing data on the Lousiville real estate market you are most interested in, just let me know, and I will put one together right away for you!

I can prepare the data in several different ways.  For instance, some people want data on the whole city of Louisville, everything in Jefferson County.  Others want just one or two zip codes, maybe the one they are moving from, or where they are dreaming of moving to.  And that info can come in the form of a graph, similar to the one provided above.  Or how about viewing your Louisville real estate data in the form of a chart, like the one below, which I prepared for the Prospect area, zip code of 40059.
